SyCipLaw Contributes to Latest Edition of Chambers Insurance & Reinsurance Global Practice Guide

Chambers and Partners has released the 2025 edition of the Insurance & Reinsurance Global Practice Guide, with SyCipLaw contributing the Philippine chapters.

SyCipLaw Partners Benedicto P. Panigbatan, Ronald Mark C. Lleno, Hiyasmin H. Lapitan, and Carina C. Laforteza authored the Law and Practice section. It outlines the latest information on insurance and reinsurance law, overseas-based insurers or reinsurers, insurance contracts, intermediary involvement, alternative risk transfer (ART) transactions, warranties, conditions precedent, insurance disputes, and insurtech.

In addition, Hiyasmin with Partners Joan Mae S. To-Conejos, Joanna Marie O. Joson, and Associate Franco Luis G. Lopez authored the Trends and Development section of the guide. The authors discussed the adoption of artificial intelligence (AI) and integration of financial technology (fintech) in the Philippine insurance industry. The authors also talked about the data security safeguards put in place to help prevent the proliferation of fraudulent schemes and data breaches in the industry.
