December 6, 2022

SyCip Salazar Hernandez & Gatmaitan (SyCipLaw) participated in the legal aid clinic organized by the Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP) Makati Chapter held recently at the Makati City Jail.

Six associates from SyCipLaw, namely Joel Adrian C. Alarde, Ana Regina A. Buban, Diane Kristel E. Falcotelo, Jill Irish C. Ramirez, Patrice Jane L. Romero, and Gilda Patrizia A. Veluya, provided free legal consultation to Makati City Jail inmates. They were supervised by SyCipLaw Partner and IBP Makati Chapter Public Relations Officer Ronald Mark C. Lleno and SyCipLaw Senior Associate Ramon I. Rocha IV.

Mr. Lleno is pleased that SyCipLaw's young lawyers are taking an active role in volunteer work to gain valuable experience, hone their skills, and give back to the community.

SyCipLaw, together with other law firms in Makati, have been providing free legal services, through the IBP Makati Chapter's Legal Aid Clinic, to indigent residents of Makati City every Wednesday at the 18th floor of the Makati City Hall Building I.

The IBP mandates the implementation of the Legal Aid Program among its chapters nationwide to enhance the role of legal practitioners as instruments of social change and promote better access to justice for financially-challenged Filipinos.

The IBP Makati Chapter is one of the largest IBP chapters in the country and has earned a reputation as one of the most outstanding, dynamic, and robust chapters of the IBP.
