SyCipLaw Joins COVID Relief Efforts

Through various linkages and partnerships, SyCipLaw has joined in efforts to address some of the most pressing needs during this pandemic – providing relief goods to vulnerable communities and much needed supplies to medical frontliners.

The firm’s members have supported the initiative of SyCiplaw’s CSR partner, the Philippine Business for Social Progress (PBSP), by donating funds for COVID-19 projects run by Caritas Manila, Kaya Natin Movement, UP Medical Foundation and Project Pearls.

As a member of the PBSP, SyCipLaw also supported Bayanihan Musikahan, an initiative led by National Artist for Music Maestro Ryan Cayabyab where Filipino musical artists perform in online concerts to bring the nation together in the spirit of bayanihan and raise funds. To date, funds raised through the project have been used to provide food packs to urban poor communities, food and shelter for homeless families, and support for community-based COVID-19 care centers. (Please visit or for more information about the project.)

As the quarantine period enters its third month, SyCipLaw lawyers and staff members continue to try to “help from home” by supporting various community-based COVID-19 relief efforts, from food drives for depressed communities and stranded university students and construction workers to the making of face shields to getting crucial supplies of personal protective equipment to such hospitals as the University of the Philippines-Philippine General Hospital and Lung Center of the Philippines, both designated COVID-19 referral centers for the National Capital Region.
