On-Site Operations at SyCipLaw Offices During Modified ECQ and General Community Quarantine

Dear SyCipLaw Clients,

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Metro Manila, Cebu City, Subic Freeport Zone, and Davao City, and other areas in the Philippines will be under general community quarantine (GCQ) from June 1 to 15, 2020, pursuant to an announcement made by the Philippine President.[1]

Under GCQ, (1) all residents are required to observe minimum public health standards at all times, (2) movement of people is limited to accessing essential goods and services and reporting for work in industries allowed to operate, (3) public gatherings are still prohibited, (4) public transportation may resume operations at a reduced capacity, and (5) certain establishments such as law firms may operate on-site at up to 50% capacity. [2]

Please note that to protect the safety of our employees, we will have limited operations in our main office in Makati City and in all of our branch offices starting June 1.

Our lawyers are working remotely and you may reach them via email or mobile phone. We expect to deliver the same level of service you expect from us. However, we greatly appreciate your understanding for any inconvenience that may arise during the GCQ period.

If you need any assistance, you may reach out to your usual contact. You may also email sshg@syciplaw.com or info@syciplaw.com.

We hope that you and your family are keeping safe. Our thoughts are with those affected by this pandemic, including those on the front lines battling this disease.
