SyCipLaw advises San Carlos Sun Power, Inc. and BDO Unibank, Inc. in first Philippine solar power project financing deal

BDO Unibank closed the first Philippine project financing deal for a solar power project last December 16, 2015. The project belongs to San Carlos Sun Power, Inc. (SaCaSun), a joint venture between Aboitiz Renewables, Inc., and SunEdison Philippines Helios B.V. The Php3.25 Billion project financing deal is for a 58.98MWp solar power project located in Barangay Punao, San Carlos City, Negros Occidental, Philippines. BDO is the sole lender, with BDO Capital & Investment Corporation acting as Mandated Lead Arranger, and BDO Unibank, Inc-Trust and Investments Group acting as Facility Agent and Security Trustee.
