FLI NET Fall 2015 Semi-Annual Conference in Manila

SyCip Salazar Hernandez & Gatmaitan hosted the FLI NET Fall 2015 Semi-Annual Conference last November 12-13, 2015. The Conference gathered 17 delegates from 10 countries, including Belgium, China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, the United States of America, and Vietnam.

On the first day, SyCipLaw partner Leslie C. Dy led a panel discussion on working with Millennials. This was followed by updates on investments in Indonesia by Soewito Suhardiman Eddymurthy Kardono’s Denny Rahmansyah and a presentation by Llinks Law Offices’ Selena She and Yuhua Yang.

Sessions on the second day highlighted ASEAN Integration concerns. SyCipLaw invited Asian Development Bank’s Noritaka Akamatsu for a presentation on ASEAN Financial Integration. In the afternoon, delegates joined other SyCipLaw guests in the Kapihan sa SyCip on Doing Business After ASEAN Integration. Moderated by SyCipLaw partners Arlene M. Maneja and Jose Florante M. Pamfilo, the Kapihan’s distinguished panelists include Ford Group Philippines’ Josephine Gonzalez, Destileria Limtuaco & Co., Inc.’s Olivia Limpe-Aw, Metro Pacific Investment Corporation’s Ricardo M. Pilares III, and Seawood Resources, Inc. and IG Group of Companies’ Todd Daniel Schweitzer. Delegates ended the day in a break-out session with Jollibee Foods Corporation’s Valerie Feria-Amante.
