In line with the celebration of the Firm's 70th Year, SyCipLaw Cebu participated in the annual Aboitiz Groupwide Simultaneous Tree Planting last May 23, 2015. The activity gathered about 6,000 Aboitiz Group team members and volunteers who committed to plant 60,000 seedlings across the country.

Headed by SyCipLaw partners Alan C. Fontanosa and Thaddeus R. Alvizo, SyCipLaw Cebu volunteers joined Aboitiz Group’s Cebu-based business units in planting mangrove seedlings in the coastal wetland of Brgy. Cantu-od, Balamban, Cebu. Each volunteer was challenged to plant at least 25 seedlings. SyCipLaw Cebu volunteers included Porfing Sabusab, Michelle Unabia, Felice Soria, Ayla Awit, Karen Sagarino, Ivy Limbago, Lucy Peña, Joy Marañon, and Emy Gingoyon.

The activity supports the Aboitiz Group’s flagship sustainability project entitled Aboitiz Passion for Agroforest and Reforest to Keep (A-Park), which seeks to promote biodiversity in various areas of the country. A-Park aims to plant six million more trees over the next six years.
