Department: Special Projects SyCipLaw has been at the forefront of the competition practice in the Philippines. Our lawyers actively participated in the policy discussions and provided expert advice at the public consultations and committee hearings when the Philippine Competition Act (PCA) was deliberated in Congress a decade ago. Since the enactment of the PCA in 2014, we have had regular and significant exposure to our clients’ competition-sensitive operational issues and have advised on a number of key projects involving competition and antitrust issues.
Our breadth of services includes advising clients on the application of the PCA and its implementing rules, contract review for potential antitrust risks, transaction structuring, and compliance with merger notice requirements.
