Department: Special Projects Our Data Privacy and Protection team draws on a wide range of experience from handling corporate work including telecommunications, acquisition and divestments, infrastructure, financial services, intellectual property, and litigation to deliver a comprehensive approach to our clients’ data protection needs.
We have advised clients in a variety of industries on privacy and data protection issues including those in outsourcing, e-money and payment systems, gaming, cloud and data services, financial services, and retail. We have also advised on issues and matters involving employee data policies, build your own design (BYOD), offshore storage, use of data in customer agreements, and privacy policies and terms and conditions on sites.
Our team, led by Rose Marie M. King-Dominguez, had helped provide comments on the Philippine Data Privacy Law enacted in 2012, and had engaged with members of the House of Representatives technical team on aspects of the legislation.
We are also active participants in the privacy community, and are regular resource persons on data privacy and cybersecurity law issues.
