Vicente D. Gerochi IV is a partner of SyCipLaw. He was the Head of the Firm’s Banking, Finance & Securities Department from 2018-2022. His practice areas include project finance, securities, foreign investment, transport infrastructure, and mergers and acquisitions.

His projects include:

  • Establishment by Hyundai Motor Company of a passenger vehicle importation and distribution business in the Philippines
  • Acquisition of controlling interest in Land Registration Systems Inc, the concessionaire of the Philippine Government for the nationwide land titling computerization project
  • Compact Assistance of the US Government’s Millennium Challenge Corporation – Implementation of MCC Account Program for the Philippines for the funding of (i) the rehabilitation of secondary-level roads, (ii) local community grants, (iii) conditional cash transfer program, (iv) Bureau of Internal Revenue’s computerization project, and (v) water impoundment projects
  • Financing for the acquisition of Cemex’s Philippine assets
  • Asian Development Bank’s inaugural Peso Bond issue; ADB’s Asian Currency Note Programme

Vicente is a director and the corporate secretary of several corporations, including public companies. He was a lecturer at the Ateneo Law School from 1996 to 1998. He is a member of the Philippine Bar Association and the International Bar Association.
