Rosevee R. Paylip-Guiang is a member of the Firm’s Litigation and Employment & Immigration departments.

Rosevee (or Vee) has represented various corporate and individual clients in a broad range of commercial litigation, including intra-corporate disputes, land cases and real property disputes, contract law matters, maritime and shipping cases, and customs cases, among others, before all levels of the Philippine judiciary. Further, she has also represented corporate clients in labor cases and labor relations disputes.

In addition, she also handles corporate housekeeping work and serves as corporate secretary and counsel advising corporations engaged in manufacturing, shipping, and maritime services on labor law, compliance and regulatory, and other related matters.

Vee’s recent work highlights:

  • Successfully represented a South Korean client in a civil action for damages for breach of a construction contract where the court awarded at least Php80 million in damages;
  • Successfully headed the prosecution of an accused in a capital offense for Murder which led to the conviction of the accused;
  • Successfully defended a US citizen charged with a capital offense for Qualified Theft which was dismissed on the basis of a demurrer on evidence, the grant of which amounts to an acquittal;
  • Successfully defended a gaming corporation in its seizure and forfeiture cases instituted by the Bureau of Customs and the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation. Both cases were dismissed;
  • Successfully represented a Subic Bay Freeport (SBF) Locator in a petition for certification election;
  • Successfully defended various SBF Locators against administrative cases filed with the National Labor Relations Commission and the Department of Labor and Employment Region III; and
  • Contributed significantly to three major due diligence projects on subjects ranging from property and the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority regulatory laws, shipping, maritime, and Maritime Industry Authority regulations, environmental laws including those affecting indigenous peoples and their rights, and various regulatory permits from different government agencies.

She is cited as a Key Lawyer in Transport Law by The Legal 500 Asia Pacific 2025.

Vee recently enrolled in Harvard University’s “Child Protection: Children’s Rights in Theory and Practice,” a 16-week short course designed to educate participants on protecting children from violence, exploitation, and neglect through law, policy, and practice in a human rights framework. 

Vee currently serves as Secretary in the Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP) – Zambales Chapter for the 2025-2027 term. Since then, she was appointed as the Alternate Chairperson of the Legal Aid Committee and Co-chairperson of the Women, Children, and Family Affairs Committee of the IBP Zambales Chapter. Under such capacities, she headed and/or coordinated her Chapter’s legal aid projects including, but not limited to:

  • Moderating the “ULAS VIA ZOOM,” an online webinar attended by at least 60 lawyers in Zambales;
  • Facilitating the “Feeding and Reading Program with Kid-Friendly Lectures on Nutrition and Children’s Rights Against Bullying” held at the San Esteban Elementary School in San Antonio, Zambales; and
  • Serving as a lecturer in the “Feeding and Reading Program with Kid-Friendly Lectures on Nutrition and Children’s Rights Against Bullying” held at the Lupang Pangako Resettlement Integrated School in Iba, Zambales, which was attended by over 200 persons including schoolchildren belonging to the indigenous community in Brgy. San Agustin, Iba, Zambales.

Vee also recently formalized her membership in the Rotary Club of San Marcelino, Zambales (RCSMZ). Prior to officially joining the RCSMZ, the IBP Zambales Chapter, through Vee, was previously tapped to provide pro bono legal services in two legal aid caravans: (a) “Alagang Marcelinian, Tatak Rotarian: Paghahatid ng Hustisya Forum,” for members of the Unified Public Vendors Association of San Marcelino, and (b) “Alagang Marcelinian, Tatak Rotarian: Paghahatid ng Hustisya Forum Part 2,” for members of the Tricycle Operators and Drivers Association in San Marcelino, Zambales.
