Kristina Paola P. Frias

Kristina Paola P. Frias is a member of the Firm’s Tax, Special Projects, and Banking, Finance & Securities departments.

Kristina (or Krispy) has significant experience in tax compliance, tax assessment, and tax refund cases before the Philippine Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) and the courts. She has worked on tax treaty relief applications, requests for tax-free exchange ruling, settlement of estate, and processing of tax clearances with the BIR.

She has advised foreign and local clients on tax and legal aspects of corporate acquisitions and divestments, investment structuring, construction projects, government grants involving carbon credits, and other commercial transactions.

She has been involved in financing projects, and capital market transactions such as issuance of bonds and notes by banks and non-bank entities.

Krispy is a Certified Public Accountant. Before joining the Firm, she was an assistant professor at the University of the Philippines.
