SyCipLaw was awarded “National Law Firm of the Year” for the Philippines at the International Financial Law Review Asia Awards, held in Hong Kong last February 26, 2014. This is the ninth year in a row and the thirteenth time that SyCipLaw has received the recognition from IFLR. Projects that ensured that SyCipLaw kept the title include the PhP2 billion financing of a 25.5 MW hydro power project in Mindanao, the issuance by Petro Corporation of US$750 million worth of capital securities and purchase of US$55 million worth of Philippine Depositary Receipts from an affiliate of media company, ABS-CBN.
