Jewelle Ann Lou P. Santos
Jewelle Ann Lou P. Santos is a senior associate in SyCip Salazar Hernandez & Gatmaitan (SyCipLaw). She is a member of the firm's Litigation and Arbitration, and Employment and Immigration practice groups. She joined the firm in 2018.
Ms. Santos has represented clients in various arbitration proceedings, including a dispute under the rules of Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre (HKIAC), a construction dispute before the Philippine Construction Industry Arbitration Commission (CIAC), an ad hoc arbitration against an agency of the Philippine Government, and a dispute before the Philippine Dispute Resolution Center, Inc. (PDRCI).
Ms. Santos also handles broad range of litigation cases involving commercial, civil, and criminal law before the Supreme Court, Court of Appeals, Sandiganbayan, trial courts, Department of Justice, and prosecutor's office. Her cases include the defense of multinational mining companies in a case before the Court of Appeals, tax litigation for an irrigation and power company in its local tax protests and injunction case against provincial governments, and an intra-corporate litigation and related criminal proceedings involving a publicly-listed corporation.
Ms. Santos is experienced in handling cases before the National Labor Relations Commission, Bureau of Labor Relations, National Conciliation and Mediation Board, labor arbiters, accredited voluntary arbitrators, and other labor agencies. Ms. Santos also advises local and international clients on various employment-related issues, including labor standards compliance, industrial relations, and administrative disciplinary proceedings.
Ms. Santos also handles general corporate work for domestic and foreign corporations.
